Information is necessary so that people can exercise their rights, by which was created the need for the creation of a service for women's care, information, psychological support and legal advice in order to facilitate equality between men and women. This is another joint services offering the following provisions:
- Free legal advice.
- Psychological care.
- Vocational guidance.
- Information on resources available within its territorial scope (police, Court, etc.).
- Channel of communication between users and the different competent bodies.
- Diffusion of services and activities developed by the General promotion service and equality of man and woman.
- Specific attention to women victims of gender violence, facilitating and putting at their disposal the resources of the autonomous community (police, health, psychological, social...) through the urgent management. This is perhaps the most important function that develops the Department.
- Reception of complaints and complaints of discrimination on grounds of sex in the media and advertising, to the competent body.
- Promotion of the associationism (work with existing associations and promotion of the creation of new ones).
- Promotion of the participation of women in civilian life.
- Training and information on issues of equal opportunities between men and women.
- Activities: celebration of global days (working women, rural women, against gender violence), modules of equality to schools, courses, conferences...
- Any other activity that has as purpose to achieve equality.
