Quintela de Leirado is part of the transfrontier Park "Serra do Leboreiro". For lovers of nature and practice of outdoor activity, the southwestern sector of the region offers a unique setting formed by the mountain ranges "Aguillón " and "Leboreiro" the latter part of the NATURA 2000 (LIC Low Limia) where you can go hiking, cycling on trails designed by the saw that, starting from places like Leirado or Bangueses, come to the graves "The Big Mota" and the border with Portugal. From this natural setting can even see panoramic views of the region and the neighboring country, and also enjoy the flora and fauna of a protected natural area.

What is a Site of Community Importance (LIC)?
All those protected ecosystems in order to contribute towards ensuring biodiversity through the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora in the area. These places are integrated into the European network: Red Natura 2000.
Rede Natura
LOCATION: In the southeast of the province of Ourense, bordering Portugal, municipality of Entrimo, Lobios and Mills. The LIC "Baixa Limia" is extended by the municipalities of Bande, Randín Baldies, Lobeira, Padrenda, Quintela of Leirado and Verea.

SCOPE: The Natural Park, 20,920 hectáreas, the LIC reaches 33,920 hectares.

ACCESS: From Ourense Celanova address and Portugal, through AG-31 motorway. Since Limia Xinzo of the O-301 to Bande. Turnouts Entrimo Lobios, and the crossing of "Portela do Home".

By here passed the Roman legions to the conquest of the tribe of the callaici, the Galician. There was no border then some and even take in any.
